Texas DPS Apps Help for External Users

The Texas DPS Apps site (https://apps.dps.texas.gov) enables external users to request access to DPS-specific applications. After completing the registration process and receiving approval, the external users can access the DPS applications through the Texas DPS Apps site.

An example of an external user and an external-facing application: local emergency coordinators throughout Texas can submit emergency plans to the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) using the ePlan Management application. In this example, the coordinators must request access to the application using the Texas DPS Apps site.

Texas DPS Apps Registration Process

Before you can access a DPS application, such as the TDEM ePlan application, you must register with the DPS Apps site.

The registration process involves the following steps:

  1. You submit a request for access.

  2. After submitting your request, a DPS Local Access Coordinator (LAC) reviews your request, confirms the information, and determines your access level. Users are vetted to determine their appropriate access level.

  3. If the registration is approved, you will receive an email with your login information.
